Seven Eleven is one of the leading retail chains in the world that is constantly expanding, and in a competitive retail market. The first store in Vietnam opened in June 2017 and Vietnam is the 19th country with the presence of this world's largest chain.
To focus on opening the first store, the problem is to build a centralized supply chain management system to connect and transmit data in an automated, secure, and cost-effective way. The shortest is a challenge for the IT team.
Request in place
1. Centralized management of all stores easily on 01 common interface, quick remote control and troubleshooting
2. Automatic & stable VPN connection between stores, and to Head Office and connecting to Cloud
3. Reduce monthly site to site VPN costs & reduce management costs
4. Support built-in smart PR Marketing solution to promote at 7-Eleven stores
5. Find a long-term partner, good technical support when operating the chain.
Solutions proposed by DWN
With the deployment experience for many chain stores, DWN has brought the right solution for 7-Eleven to fully solve the set expectations. Quick consultation & deployment when opening new stores with Cisco Meraki technology to synchronize management systems and policies.
** 7-Eleven series applied:
- Depending on the size of the store, 7-Eleven flexibly uses the corresponding Cisco Meraki Router / Firewall equipment in accordance with the needs and cost estimates such as Z1, Z3, MX64, MX64W (with integrated WiFi available). There is failover and USB port for 3G/4G
- Cisco Meraki MX100 / MX250 devices for data centers used to gather data from the stores.
Result
- Cisco Meraki SD-WAN solution has enabled automatic site-to-Site VPN connection between stores and Data Center, as well as connecting to Cloud easily & securely, stably and cost-effectively.
- The network system at each store runs smoothly and stably, remote administration is automatically easy on the same Meraki Dashboard interface, when an issue occurs, it should be solved in a snap.
- Applying the PR Marketing tools (free) available of WiFi Meraki to save a lot of marketing costs and also increase the promotion activities for 7-Eleven's partners (currently 7-Eleven has combined with partners running Wifi Marketing programs and earning a small amount of income from it).
- There are additional tools Presense Analysis - support to display the number of customers passing through or entering the store, analyzing the visitor's behavior at each store to measure the effectiveness of the store's on-site Marketing programs.
- The deployment of expansion for new stores is very simple, less time-consuming, does not have to be reconfigured for each store, and allows for an unlimited number of APs, while still centralizing the Cloud controller for automatic remote administration.
